I have always been obsessed with painting and decorating and making things pretty. I grew up in a home where I wasn’t allowed to hang things on my bedroom walls (but I still love you Dad!) so I vowed that when I got my own home, I would go crazy with color and decor. And I did.
I bought my first home at the age of 21 and altho’ I could make the mortgage, there was very little left over every month for updating and decorating. So I taught myself how to do projects.
I spray painted my kitchen cabinets.
I crackled my walls.
I thrifted and garage sale’d and bought ugly things to make pretty.
And… I hired the big stuff out to people more talented than me.
I worked tirelessly to make my house into a home.
And that has been my jam ever since.
I started The Magic Brush after being laid off from my software development company in the year 2000 and have worked to make homes gorgeous in the Midwest ever since.
I have the honor of engaging daily with over 240K followers on my Facebook page and over 450K fans across all social medias.
I speak a little (or a lot according to my hubby!).
I coach women in all sorts of creative businesses on how to grow their platform and make money at their creative talents.
I am fiercely in love with my family.
And I try to magnify the Lord in all I do. This business is nothing without Him being up all in it!
That pretty much sums it up.
I’m glad you are here!
